The congruence theory in explaining the concept of truth constituted a very important conception that dominated classical philosophies from Plato to Hegel.

this perception is based on the fact that the truth is the conformity of the judgment with reality, so we find that the concept of truth intersects with the concept of reality and makes it a support for it.

but the definition of truth as congruence, as expressed by Aristotle, does not reflect the actual definition of truth, and only expresses one aspect of the problem, which Heidegger expressed through his questioning of the congruence relationship, including his questioning of the concept of truth according to this perception, so this scientific paper aims to highlight light on the criticisms that Heidegger leveled against Aristotle in his conception of the basis of correspondence, including undermining the traditional concept of truth.
