The current study aimed to know the level of optimism among a sample of educated youth, as well as to explore the differences in the level of optimism.

according to gender and academic level.

the study was conducted on a sample of individuals at the level of some states of the country.

to achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach was used, depending on the measurement tool represented by the Arab list scale of optimism, authored by Ahmed Abdel-Khaleq (1996).

the results of the study found a high level of optimism among a sample of educated youth and that there were no statistically significant differences in the study sample according to the variable of gender and academic level these results have been discussed in the framework of the theoretical aspect and previous studies.
