The code of civil and administrative procedure stipulates that the judge must present the mediation procedure to the litigants in all articles, except for family affairs cases, labor cases and anything that would prejudice public order.

if the litigants accept this procedure, the judge appoints an intermediary to receive the point of view of each of them and try to reconcile them, to enable them to find a solution to the dispute.

mediation extends to all or part of the dispute, mediation does not entail the judge's abandonment of the case, and any measure he deems necessary can be taken at any time.
