The article focuses on studying the relationship between social policies and economic growth in Algeria in the long term, based on an econometric study using the auto regressive distributive lags (ARDL) model developed by Pesaran et al (2001) and a set of Algeria-specific variables for the period from 1970 to 2021, where the results and method of studying the relationship between them differed, many have proven that there is a strong positive relationship between them and that economic growth occurs through the development of social policies.

our results in estimating the model indicate the negative impact of spending on education, employment and the growth rate of public expenditures on economic growth, while the impact of the rest of the variables was positive, such as spending on the housing sector, health, and social support.
