Abstract EN

This study aimed to reveal the causes of the phenomenon of cheating in exams among students of the faculty of humanities and social sciences at the university of Mouloud Mammeri Tizi Ouzou.

the study sample consisted of 60 students, who were chosen in a simple random way, where we applied to them a questionnaire prepared by researcher Faisal Mohamed al-Zarrad to diagnose the factors leading to cheating in exams.

school and university, we relied on the descriptive approach in analysing the results.

we concluded that the personal reasons related to the individual himself come in the first place, followed by the pedagogical reasons.

as for the family reasons, there was no great agreement among the study sample.
