Abstract EN

School violence is considered one of the most prominent phenomena that has attracted attention, thus shedding light on the manifestations of violence among adolescent students and the differences between them according to gender and age variables were the main motivations behind this study.

a descriptive approach was adopted during the work by resorting to Abd el-Qader el-Abbadia (2018) school violence scale which was applied to a sample of some secondary schools in Setif.

the study hypotheses were tested using variance analysis and t-tests to measure differences, and then the degree of agreement on the item and on the axis as a whole was calculated.

the study found that, peer-on-peer violence was the most prevalent type of adolescent student violence, and gender differences in favor of males were detected, but age differences were not.
