Antiquities and archaeological sites are considered a national wealth and a global human cultural heritage that must be preserved.

they are often considered a major tourist attraction.

the aim of the research is to clarify the policies of the Algerian state in place to preserve antiquities and archaeological sites from all aggression and appropriation and to make the best use of them, and how these policies contribute to supporting archaeological tourism in the Algerian state.

the research concluded that the Algerian state has paid great attention to antiquities and archaeological sites and preserved them since independence however, it was not properly exploited to make it a major tourist attraction.
