A patent licensing contractis one of the most prominent contracts with an explicit transfer of technology from the supplier licensee to the license drecipient.

once properly held, the contract contributes to the development of national economies by bringing in new knowledge and expertise.

in practice, however, the latter has been monopolized by states and by active institutions that have consistently sought to maintain the irexclusivity.
