Dramaturgical preparation is one of the dramaturgy techniques, which is used to transfer the novel from its literary form and prepare it for presentation on the theatrical stage.

while the novel intersects with the theatre in many artistic aspects, they differ in others.

therefore, the dramaturge must activate technical mechanisms and make modifications to the prepared to be novelistic work.

the aim of this study is to highlight the artistic mechanisms and clarify the modifications required by the dramaturgical preparation technique to transform a novelistic work into a theatrical text that is suitable for performance on stage.
