This study aims to introduce our huge heritage especially obscure one, and explore simples encyclopédies, and standing on an innovative authoring methodology of an unknown linguist, and he is alIskafy (died 400 AH) through his book al-Majalis, this work guided the basis of definition of proverbs issues included in the book by observing the mechanisms of methodology used in dealing with thes proverbs, among the results we came to: a book of al-Majalis is featured book, he included more than thirty ancient proverbs, the author employed lexicon, semantics, grammar, morphology, antiquities of Arabs, and poetry … in an interesting style.
