The study aimed to reveal the differences in the level of self-esteem among students engaged in school sports according to the variables (type of sports activity practiced and gender), where the researcher applied the self-esteem scale on a sample of 88 pupils and school girls involved in school sports, and after statistical processing the results of the study resulted in statistically significant differences in the level of self-esteem between secondary school students engaged in school sports in favor of males and practitioners of group activities.
