The museum kit is considered one of the methods for museum education outside museum walls.

it provides children with concepts and skills through an interesting attractive means which enables them to acquire new experiences.

reading comprehension is the most important objective for reading process and the base for all reading processes.

the aim of the current research is to determine the effectiveness of using museum kit to develop some reading comprehension skills for kindergarten child.

the research sample consisted from (50) male and female children, attending early childhood center, early childhood education faculty, Alexandria university.

it used the reading comprehension skills scale for kindergarten child.

the research results indicated that effectiveness of the used museum kit in developing reading comprehension skills for kindergarten child.

in light of the results, the research recommended the using museum kit and mobile museum idea to overcome the geographic distance of museums.

also, the implementation of the program based on using museum kit for developing reading comprehension skills on larger samples of child.
