Abstract EN

This study included a documentation of the women's artistic movement in the al Baha region, and then it presented the artistic styles and their trends, techniques, and various subjects.

this study aimed to tracing the history of the women's artistic movement in the al baha region and its beginnings, and to know the characteristics, methods, artistic techniques and subjects that female artist dealt with in al Baha region, and to direct the young generation to the history of women's artistic movement in al Baha and the role of their experiments in linking between originality and modernity, and then presenting some forms of selective artworks of some female artists in the region.

the women's artistic movement in al Baha region is modern compared to its counterparts in other cities of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

despite the short age of this movement, there is a clear imprint of some artists in the region who presented different experiments in terms of artistic schools, materials, and techniques.

the researcher used the historical approach in tracing the emergence and development of the women's artistic movement in al Baha region, and then used the descriptive approach to describe the characteristics and features of artistic works within some selected works of some artists.

the results and recommendations gained from this study can be published as a reference to refer to as an artistic documentary for the history of the women's artistic movement in al Baha region.

based on the theoretical framework and the results of the study's assumptions; the study recommended, the need to pay attention to women's arts as a tributary of culture in al Baha region and the other regions of Saudi Arabia, in a par with the vision of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030, which emphasises the empowerment of women and their pioneering role in various fields and to direct female artists to the need to delve into the various fields of arts and employ their thoughts and points of views on various matters in terms of the goals of the arts in general and in particular, with an increased focus on the fields of visual arts and granting opportunity to make art accessible to all different age groups and genders, which enhances the status of art for individuals and societies alike, supporting the women's artistic movement in al Baha region, and working to make the most of the multiple talents, especially the young ones, as well as giving interest and encouraging relevant studies and research; especially those related to the presence of women.
