The aim of this research is to identify social responsibility and its practice by the Misurata Free Zone, where the research clarified the concepts of social responsibility and its importance, and the concept of sustainable development, as the research indicated to the Misurata Free Zone and the most important practices of social responsibility that it adopted, and to verify the hypotheses of the research, the research adopted the descriptive analytical approach, By using the SPSS statistical program, the data was collected using a questionnaire distributed to employees and workers in the free zone, and by analyzing the questionnaires statistically, it was found that there is a statistically significant effect of social responsibility practices in its economic, social and environmental dimensions, and the study recommended the need to increase awareness of society in general and its institutions in particular of the importance of social responsibility And the necessity of having specialized departments for social responsibility within the institutions that undertake the planning and implementation of programs.
