Abstract EN

This research aims to provide a textual pragmatic reading of a selected series of ancient Arabic proverbs.

this is to show the cognitive pragmatic components from which the Arabic proverb emerged as a pragmatic textual entity.

the research has proven that the Arabic proverb constitutes a deliberative textual focus that has its deliberative links that dominate the language of the proverb, its significance and its composition, as it was proven by following up the proverbs and following the descriptive analytical approach that these proverbs emanated from a set of determinants, namely : the determinant associated with the cultural aspect, the linguistic determinant, the lexical reference determinant, and the narrative determinant.
