Abstract EN

The study is entitled "Textual Cohesion Between Textlinguistics and Text Books in Arabic Language".

The study aims to identify textual contributions to Arabic language studies and review some Arabic text books dealing with textual cohesion.

The statement of the study lies and raises the following question : Have previous studies investigated textual cohesion" The researcher has adopted descriptive method in the study which is divided into two themes : The first part concentrates on terms and concepts related to textual cohesion from linguistic or terminological prospective putting in consideration point of viewpoint of some linguists.

The second theme deals with some woks and textual practices in Arabic according rhetoric specialists and interpreters etc who emphasizes the link between these practices and text linguistics.

The study has concluded that a number of results, most notably, the Arab have direct and indirect contributions in text linguistics.

The origin of textual cohesion is not new, the new thing is the works about text lingusitics.

The study has recommended that rules should made to suit the nature of Arabic text and that textual rules derived from Arab heritage should be inspired with the use of Western text linguistic without contradicting the specialty of Arabic text.
