Abstract EN

The current research aims to know : (productive competencies for teachers of social subjects in public and private schools), and the researcher adopted the descriptive correlative approach being the appropriate approach to the research procedures.

The researcher prepared a note card consisting of (8) competencies and (76) indicators that she presented to the experts and Arbitrators to determine its suitability for the educational environment.

The research community consisted of public and private primary schools in the center of Babil Governorate, and the research sample was selected, consisting of (200) male and female teachers for public schools and (22) male and female teachers for private schools.

The observation card was presented to (22) arbitrators with experience in the universities of (Babylon, Karbala, Al-Mustansiriya, Ibn Rushd, Kufa) to ensure its validity.

After analyzing the results, the study concluded that the level of productive competencies in public and private schools for the fifth and sixth grades of primary school was a good level.

Based on the findings of this study, the researcher came up with a set of recommendations and suggestions, the most important of which are : 1 The necessity of holding educational seminars to familiarize teachers with the importance of productive competencies.

2- Organizing training courses for teachers to increase their productive competencies .

Urging teachers to develop their teaching skills and use modern teaching methods to improve their productive skills.
