The research problem revolves around knowing the strengths and weaknesses of the principles of responsible citizenship in the social studies books in the middle stage, and the importance of the research comes from the importance of the intermediate stage; Because students at this stage stand between the end of childhood and the beginning of maturity, so he turns around one stage and receives another, and it is one of the important stages in human development; Because one in it matures and its aspects are integrated, which helps them in thinking, the process of asking questions, realizing relationships, and aspects of disagreement.

The current research aims to (analyzing the content of social studies in the middle school according to the principles of responsible citizenship).

In the middle school, according to the principles of responsible citizenship, which amounted to (6) principles and (60) paragraphs, after reviewing the educational literature and previous studies, and then presenting it to some experts and specialists in teaching methods, in order to express their opinions and observations in it, and in light of that, it was amended and added And the deletion of some paragraphs, and by relying on the modified tool, by analyzing the content of social books according to the principles of responsible citizenship.

To ensure the stability of the analysis, the researcher used the method of analysis with the help of another analyst and by using the Holstey equation, the reliability coefficient between the researcher and the other analyst reached (0.93), and the researcher analyzed the content again with a time difference between the two analyzes (twenty-one days) and the reliability coefficient between the two analyzes reached (0.95), and the idea and the topic were used.

As units of analysis and being appropriate to the research objective and the nature of the analyzed content, the analysis was done according to the foundations and fixed steps.

Steady steps.

For the purpose of extracting the results, the researcher used the repetitions and seminal repetitions of the principles of responsible citizenship, and the results of the research resulted in the following : The highest principle of national identity and belonging was achieved by (486) and percentage frequency (31.15), followed by the principle of social justice at (310) recurrences and seminal recurrence (19.87).

The duties are achieved (296) recurrences and gradual recurrence (18.98), then comes the principle of freedom and responsibility with (205) recurrences and percentage.

recurrence (13.14), after that comes the principle of political awareness with (133) recurrences and gradual repetition (8.53), followed by the principle of duties with (130) recurrences and with a frequency (8.33).

The researcher recommended several recommendations, including : That educational books be subject to review for development and improvement by the Curriculum Writing Committee in the Ministry on a regular basis.

The need for education officials to pay attention to developing effective indicative programs that help develop responsible citizenship and instill values and ideals in the hearts of members of society.

The school should increase its activities in spreading national awareness among all types of students through its extra curricular programs and benefit from national events to increase their enthusiasm in this aspect.

The researcher has come up with a number of proposals, including : 1.

Conducting a similar study in the preparatory stage in the subject of social studies 2.

Conducting an evaluation study of social books from the point of view of teachers, students and bright people of the principles of responsible citizenship in those books.
