Abstract EN

This study aims at raising the problematic of employing anthropological concepts in the study of arab societies, which is an examination that includes problematic elements, associated with the axis of "concepts".

this study is conducted through reading examples of concepts contained within the anthropological studies led by some western researchers about arab societies.

it is worth noting that the prevalence of western centralism, which is linked to contexts for the completion of anthropological studies and research, has affected the directing of visions, perceptions and ideas related to local cultures.

moreover, the process of interpreting and transferring these concepts into the researcher's language, which has led to the adaptation of those anthropological studies to what is consistent with the cultural patter to which the western researcher belongs caused them to drop and impose arbitrary concepts derived from the anthropological culture and not from the culture of the studied society.

this becomes evident in many studies carried out by western researchers on arab societies, particularly within themes associated with social and cultural specificities.
