Abstract EN

The aim of the current research is to identify : 1-Identifying the level of social withdrawal among behaviorally and emotionally disturbed students 2-The statistically significant differences in social withdrawal among the behaviorally and emotionally disturbed, according to the sex variable (male-female) In order to achieve the goals, it was necessary to build a tool to measure social withdrawal, where the scale consists of (20) paragraphs formulated in the style of declarative phrases, directed to teachers of students with behavioral and emotional disorders after they were diagnosed, and after verifying the psychometric properties of the research scale and its paragraphs, it was applied to the basic research sample The amount of (170) male and female students from the behaviorally and emotionally disturbed students in the province of Babylon for the academic year (2021-2022), were selected in a random manner with a proportional distribution, if the selection of the sample in this way makes it more representative of the original community and after analyzing the data statistically using the statistical bag for social sciences (SPSS), the results yielded the following : 1-The behaviorally and emotionally disturbed students have social withdrawal.

2-There are statistically significant differences between males and females, as there is more social withdrawal in females than in males
