Abstract EN

The current study sought to employ the available data at the formal and informal levels with the aim of analyzing the state of imbalance of the demographics in Kuwait.

by determining its main causes, and by presenting proposals that contribute to providing solutions to the crisis that posed a great challenge during the coronavirus (COVID 19) pandemic in terms of health, social, economic and security aspects.

the study revealed the existence of a real crisis in the demographics of Kuwait, caused by the increase in the numbers of foreign workers, so that they number approximately two-thirds of the population of citizens.

it also revealed serious negative effects on various areas, the most important of which are: the increase in unemployment rates among Kuwaiti youth, the spread of unfamiliar social phenomena on the gulf society, and the cause of security, social and political disturbances.

the study concluded that procedures should be taken in the short and long term to correct demographic imbalances, and then avoid the risks resulting from them.

the study ended with a set of recommendations that would create a state of balance between the numbers of citizens and foreign workers, and thus mitigate the negative effects that the Kuwaiti society suffers from in order to achieve stability in the country.
