Abstract EN

This research has discussed the last transformations in the Oil supply structure, which presented by the increase of level of unconventional oil supplies from non-OPEC countries, particularly shale oil in the US and oil sands in Canada.

However, these transformations have made reflections on OPEC in terms of the market, financial and commercial aspects.

Accordingly, OPEC has given up its strategy in supporting oil prices as a reaction to the increased supply of unconventional oil.

However, the ongoing question is on the transformations size that occurs in the oil market, and what are its effects on the stability of oil market and OPEC alike.
