Abstract EN

This study is concerned with proposing a future vision for improving the quality of research in the sociology of education in the Egyptian universities.

the study adopts the descriptive analytic approach.

in so doing, the study first reviews the theoretical and methodological frameworks of the foundations of education and the importance of improving it and its disciplines including the sociology of education.

second, the study provides an analysis of the educational research in the sociology of education.

it can be suggested that there are different limitations and problems related to previous work in the research in sociology of education including overlapping, the lack of research maps, the poor outcomes, and the focus on single-subject research rather than group research.

in light of these limitations, the study finally proposes a four-axis framework for improving research in the sociology of education.

the proposed framework defines the premises and objectives of the future vision, and the requirements for its appropriate implementation.

finally, it outlines the main challenges and impediments expected to arise with the implementation and the ways to overcome such.
