The research deals with one of the important deities in the ancient Near East region ،which is the storm god ،whose worship moved from one region to another ،whether through wars ،invasions ،or trade ،or being a local deity made by religious belief associated with an atmospheric phenomenon that had a great impact on human thought in the ancient Near East The storm god occupied the first rank in the complex of the gods as a ruler over the gods ،and this god obtained this rank due to the dependence of the ancient Near East regions ، especially Mesopotamia ،the Levant and Anatolia ،in agriculture mainly on rainwater.

The function of this god was associated with storms ،winds and air ، but under different names according to the pronunciation and language of each people ،although it carries the same role and function and was symbolized by the triple fork of lightning And it was a unifying symbol for him in all the region.

Sometimes this god was the force of evil by bringing floods and destructive storms ،and sometimes he was described as the giver of life and fertility and the creator of other gods.
