Abstract EN

This study was conducted to find out the reality situation of livestock in Al-Amtha governorate for the year 2020.

The study determined their numbers, types, and their relative distribution in the study area and found that the livestock is spread across all administrative units in Al Muthanna governorate.

The animal production is the second pillar of the agricultural economy and makes an effective contribution to providing the basic human needs represented by meat, milk and eggs.

Also, its economics importance is that its products are a raw material for various industries.

Thus the purpose of this research is to determine the production and distribution of livestock, and then find the best Ways to develop livestock in the study area in away that it agrees with its natural and human potential.
