Palms and dates are among the important national wealth.

Dates are a material of high nutritional value and the multiplicity of their human uses.

So the subject of developing palm cultivation, production and advancement requires the development of satisfactory production and the planting of commercially desirable varieties.

The cultivation of palm trees varies from one place to another and from one season to another according to natural and human variables.

The study revealed a decrease in the percentage of date palm succession, which amounted to (41.73%) of the total selected sample of (139) orchards, which are behind a group of natural and human factors.

The most important of which were the high salinity of the soil, the large number of diseases and pests that affect palms and dates, as well as the low tendency to agricultural work to the majority of the labor force, and the high costs of agricultural operations in addition to the low efficiency of dates marketing, besides the farmers' orientation towards intercropping and the lack of government support for palm orchards.
