In recent years, Algerian society has witnessed a significant increase in the number of illegal children, according to the concerned authorities, where the illegitimate child is the victim of circumstances that led to his abandonment in the street, hospital or elsewhere to be found, whether dead or alive, and in the case of life is taken care of by the state and placed in a private institution until the age of 18 unless a family takes care of it.

However, sometimes the alternative family caring for the illegal girl and under certain pressures stigmatize her with several titles as the daughter of adultery, bastardism, and the daughter of the haram as a result of her birth in a casual relationship, where that stigma affects her psyche and sometimes leads her to flee the house and commit deviant behaviors in response to her ostracism, and sometimes her contact with bad companions leads to drinking their behaviors and thus committing deviant behaviors that contributed to her entry into the re-education centre.

This leads us to ask the following question: Does the social stigma of illegal children have anything to do with their deviation?
