Abstract EN

The present research deals with the demographic and social effects of the delay in the age of marriage in the district of Zubair.

The current project aims to find out the demographic and social effects of the delay in the age of marriage.

Therefore, a girl who is late in marriage is exposed to these demographic effects, including the lack of chances of pregnancy, the frequent miscarriage, or the failure to obtain pregnancy, i.e.

infertility, in addition to its social effects that have an impact on young men and women, such as rushing into marriage and accepting someone younger oneself.

The study found the exposure of young men and women who are late in the age of marriage, as the percentage of young women who are exposed to the demographic effects reached (39.9%) from the Zubair district, while the social effects amounted to (29.0%) for the young men and women of the population of Al-Zubair district.
