Abstract EN

The conducted research tackles the Jalalains' disobedience in Baghdad which took place in the early 17th century / 11th Hijri lead by Ahmed AlTaweel, the commander of the sects of soldiers in Baghdad.

this has lead to the banishing of Hassan Basha, the Wali of Baghdad at the time.

Furthermore, during this period the Ottoman State was overwhelmed in their battle with the lalalains on multiple fronts.

In addition, the disobedience has lasted in Baghdad leading to a conflict with the Safavids which resulted in the loss of their leader, Ahmed AlTaweel.

as his two sons started to rise after AlTaweel's death, they have gained much more power and resilience in the area leading to them defeating the Ottoman army with the leadership of Nasouh Basha, the Wali of Diyarbakir.

moreover, they have also succeeded in stopping the attacks lead by Mubarak the ruler of Huwayzah and limiting them to the borders.

finally, after ruling for around two decades during which Baghdad was demolished and destroyed, Mahmoud Basha has finally been able to eliminate them and free the city of Baghdad from their grip.
