Suhaila Ali Jawad (-1), is a pioneering feminist professor in the Department of Philosophy - University of Baghdad -College of Arts.

She is the first woman who studied and taught in this department.

She has a long scientific and administrative career, starting in 1904, the year she completed her Bachelor's degree, until she retired from work in A.

She became a head of the Department of Philosophy several times, and all of her headship witnessed balance in all of the intellectual and teaching activities taking place in the department.

Following the title of her MA thesis (The Doctrine of Utility for Jeremy Bentham - A Study in Ethics for Sociologists), She is specialized in modern philosophy; she obtained her MA degree in 19¹, then she started conducting researches in the field of modern philosophy and various other topics.
