Abstract EN

This research deals with the anatomy of the narrative structure of the novel The Tobacco Keeper by Ali Badr in the light of Gérard Genet's narrative theory, through which we were able to codify similar rules to the static narrative of the novel and its movements without relying on the historical and cultural context.

with the many events of the novel and the fluctuations of times and places, Gerard Genette's theory was able to expand with it, catch its movements, and codify its techniques; because of this theory of systematic mechanisms in dealing with various texts and at different eras and times.
