Research summary : the search for a modern teaching strategy that helps develop students' minds, allows them to think freely, helps them produce the largest amount of ideas, information, and phrases, centers around the learner, allows students' freedom of choice, and develops students' attitudes toward expression, and all of this is directly related to expression through drawing.

and the way to achieve all this and other creative skills is the brainstorming method adopted by the current research.

the brainstorming strategy is one of the most ways to develop creativity in general, as it does not stop at confronting a topic, but extends beyond the topic, by giving free rein to thinking about addressing aspects of the topic in new ways that lead to a creative view or to the production of new ideas and various phrases.

the current research came under the title (the extent to which the brainstorming strategy is employed by teachers of art education in the intermediate stage) and the first chapter of the research problem which was titled (what is the extent to which the brainstorming strategy is employed by teachers of art education in the intermediate stage?) then the research objectives where the aim of the current research was to achieve the identification of expression skills through drawing that are appropriate for third-grade intermediate students.

measuring the effectiveness of teaching expression through drawing using the brainstorming method in developing artistic expression skills for third-grade intermediate students.

then the importance of the research and the need for it, then the limits of the research, which were represented by the following limits.

the current research is limited to the following limits : spatial limits : the application of the research to two classes of third-grade intermediate students at al-Nahda intermediate school for boys, one for the experimental group, and one for the control group.

the choice of this school is due to the proximity of the researcher's residence to it.

time limits : then applying the research experience to students in the first semester of the academic year 2018-2019.

human limits : the current research is limited to applying the brainstorming method to third-grade intermediate students at al-Nahda intermediate school for boys.

as for the research method, the current research followed the descriptive and analytical approach as a research method.

as for the research tool, the researcher designed through reviewing the previous literature and research that dealt with brainstorming.

they were discussed in numbers and percentages.

the researcher interpreted the results whose value was greater than the acceptable weighted mean (criterion for proficiency) of (71, 1%) as a percentage weight, which is greater than the weighted average rate of (5, 1) and below the test of proficiency are considered unrealized skills it is necessary to know their causes and work to treat them.

we will review here the skills achieved, as we show below- : the skill (students dealing with problems and making an effort to try to solve them by innovative and creative means) ranked first with a weighted average of (65, 2).

the skill (the brainstorming strategy aims to try to get new ideas and future projects.) ranked second with a weighted average its value is (53, 2) as explained above.

then the research recommendations were, the necessity of conducting training courses for teachers to train them to use modern methods and strategies in teaching where the methods and methods used are still the traditional methods.
