The study of the current in Arabic poetry is a requirement that cannot be achieved in isolation from the search for the poet's secrets and secrets related to her psychological and emotional structure and then her social interactions and seeing things through a perspective based on analysis and scientific extrapolation of her literary experience.

the poetry of modernity, however, remains a branch of that tree that casts its shadows on those who deviated from it with some innovation, so that Fadwa Touqan is one of those advocates of liberation from the restrictions of the prevailing style of the ancestors.

it is true that this does not represent a new precedent, because all literary research and studies must approach such a vision or rely on a specific approach in analysis.

however, the new precedent lies in the poet herself, as she reflects a new color that distinguishes her from other owners of free poetry, and this in turn made her unique in her poetry.

to the extent that it is difficult to find a similar one in her era or the ages that preceded it, she is the product of a special environment in which the manifestations of sadness, alienation, displacement, and the loss of the homeland gathered before her eyes throughout her entire life.

therefore, her poetic experience was distinguished by artistic and aesthetic creativity based on the dialectical relations between the creative self and the other in its highest literary forms.

the research plan adopted a preface, three topics, and a conclusion that included the most important findings of the research.

the introduction focused on studying : trader language and convention.

the first topic was devoted to dealing with the concept of the current poetic language and dealing with the current in its poetic lexicon, as it was divided into a religious lexicon, a lexicon for love terms, a lexicon for historical figures, and a lexicon for nature.

as for the second topic : it is specific to the study of the linguistic phenomena in circulation to divide the verbs into compound and simple forms, then the study of the structure of nouns and their significance, and the second topic was added to the third topic based on the study of the artistic image in circulation in her poetry based on analogy at times and metaphor and metaphor at other times, and we referred in all of this to the most important technical and aesthetic aspects that characterized the poetic texts, and then at the end of the research we reached a set of results, the most important of which are : • revealing the current characteristics of Fadwa Touqan's poetry because of what she added to it of a touch of distinction and beauty.

• the poetess diversified in her current poetic vocabulary, and her words were inseparable from her psychological state.

the current poetic image formed an important basis for her, based on similes, metaphors and metaphors, to add beauty and distinction to her language, which kept her away from stagnation and monotony.
