The Arabic poetic theory is based on critical arguments and a set of criteria that most of them are rhetorical par excellence.

the rhetoricians and grammarians established them by deriving them from the ancient / pre-Islamic Arabic poetry in particular, which represents an intellectual authority and a sacred cultural system that cannot be transgressed.

the cultural system and intellectual / critical authority were confined to the subject of symbiosis within the authority of the old model represented in the metrical poetry or the rhymed poem whose academic beginnings were with Ibn Salam al-Joma'hi or what might be called the poem of al-Fuhul (eminent) until it possessed absolute poetic sovereignty through its structure and institutionalization with al-Marzouqi who enacted its laws and established its standards.
