Abstract EN

The problem of the research lies in studying the reality of peaceful and societal coexistence in the internal departments of the students of the university of Babylon, after the increase in acts of violence and terrorism for the purpose of identifying the main causes of this phenomenon and searching for ways and guarantees that contribute to achieving peaceful and social coexistence in the internal departments, so the research problem is based on the following questions : what are the challenges of achieving peaceful and societal coexistence in the internal departments of Babylon university students? based on the research problem, the importance of the research looks at the internal departments with a major social environment because of their role in communicating scientific facts and contact with individuals by directing them towards proper behavior and rejecting many behaviors alien to Iraqi society in general, and the educational institution in particular.

the objectives of the research are based on studying and characterizing the term peaceful and societal coexistence, as well as defining the importance of peaceful and community coexistence in the internal departments, in addition to analyzing the social reality of peaceful and communal coexistence in the internal departments of Babylon university students.

not to mention the goal of identifying obstacles to the application of peaceful and communal coexistence in the internal departments.

to achieve the importance and objective of the research, a sample of (50) male students was selected, using a simple random method, in order to implement the practical aspect.

the validity of the questionnaire was confirmed after the approval rate reached (90%) of the apparent validity of the tool, while the value of the questionnaire's stability was (88%) .

based on that, the research relied on the descriptive social approach in identifying and treating its social, cultural and economic variables, and for rooms to analyze responses and test research hypotheses.

on the electronic calculator using the statistical application (SPSS) and (excel) application.

the most important results of the research were : 1) the data showed that there was no significant relationship between the age of the respondents and peaceful and societal coexistence in the internal departments of the university of Babylon, as the calculated chi-square value was equal to (3,142) less than the tabular value (9,488), at a confidence level of (95%), and a degree of freedom (4) and the level of significant significance (0.05).

2) the data showed a significant relationship between the social succession of the respondents and their acceptance of discussion and dialogue with their colleagues in the internal department according to lineage and family, as the calculated chi-square value was equal to (8,182) greater than the tabular value (5,911), and at a confidence level of (95%), and the degree of freedom (2), and the level of significant significance (0.05).

the research concluded with a set of recommendations, the most important of which are : 1) the necessity of holding seminars, activities, conferences and cultural festivals by those in charge of the ministry of higher education and scientific research, especially the cadres of the internal departments, in order to enhance the cohesion of the social fabric between the different cultures of Iraqi society and to highlight the positive aspects of them.

2) those in charge and those interested in educational affairs should review the school curricula and the need to include social values that urge peaceful and societal coexistence and the dissemination of a culture of constructive dialogue and peaceful coexistence among Iraqi components, sects and sects.

3) the necessity of finding job opportunities for Iraqi youth in all sectors in a way that secures a decent life for them and in a way that makes them feel that they are valuable and influential in society.
