Abstract EN

The current study addresses the problematic of writing history and counter-history in the contemporary Algerian novel and the aesthetic means that were knitted narratively especially memory.

this latter monopolized the self through updating history, questioning it, revealing its hidden parts, and highlighting what it left from it in terms of the complexities that remained in memory and were engraved in it in a way that could not be separated from it even after the passage of years.

all of this contributed to the formation of the self.
