Abstract EN

This paper aims at finding the relation between the novel and history through the use of the historical character by the Algerian contemporary novel in an artistic way because it is a literary genre that goes with the modernist tent.

this genre proved its ability to unite with other ones smoothly and to contain the other epistemological fields mainly history.

therefore, this paper looks for the aestheticism of using the historical character in the Algerian novel in Diwan al-Asparti of Abdul Wahabaissaoui.

on this basis, we raise the following problematic: to what extent did the Algerian contemporary novel manage to represent the historical character as an important issue of the Algerian narration? what is the connotation of this use? and how did Abdul Wahabaissaoui invest it in his novel Diwan al-Asparti in particular.
