Abstract EN

The article aimed to reveal the patterns of digitization in higher education and the challenges of distance education in Algeria, the most important mechanisms of digitization in higher education, and to determine the impact of the lack of technological infrastructure and weak communications in Algeria on students’ experience in distance education, and to present possible options to overcome these challenges.

the article adopted the descriptive analytical approach based on reviewing relevant literature the article reached a set of results; digital platforms for distance learning in Algeria represented an essential part of the strategy to improve education in Algeria.

they contributed to a distinctive and appropriate learning experience for students and improved the academic performance of students.
