The ICT revolution has cast a shadow over the Algerian justice sector, which, more than five years ago under law 15-03 on the modernization of justice, introduced the remote trial system, which has seen the COVID 19 pandemic increase significantly, particularly since the recent amendment to the penal procedure act 2020 made it compulsory, and therefore aims to address the problem of the suitability of a remote trial with the provisions of the Algerian constitutional in achieving fair trial guarantees.
