The process of recovering criminal proceeds from corruption has taken on a regional and international dimension, as it has become the biggest challenge facing national and international efforts in combating it, especially if this money is smuggled to other countries as a prelude to laundering and legalizing it, which leads to difficulty in tracking and prosecuting it.

despite the existence of the legislative will regulating the mechanisms that ensure recovery as a subject and procedure; however, reality has proven the limitedness of what has been achieved in this field, as a result of the procedural and realistic obstacles facing countries that demand the recovery of their funds, and the Algerian experience is an example of that, which calls for searching for solutions that may be most effective to activate and support recovery mechanisms.
