تتجلى أهمية هذا الموضوع من خلال التعريف بكل من الصحة والسلامة المهنية كنقطة حساسة ذات تأثير قوي خاصة على المجال الاقتصادي وبالأخص الميدان الصناعي منه والذي عرف تغيرات سريعة من حيث المواد والعتاد المعتمد عليه في مختلف النشاطات الاقتصادية، هذه الأخيرة بدورها اصبحت من المصادر المهددة لصحة وسلامة العامل وهذا بالنظر إلى جل تلك المخاطر المهنية التي قد تلحق به ﺃو حتى بالمؤسسة المستخدمة.
وعليه، وكنتيجة لهذا الأمر كان لابد من البحث عن كيفية الوقاية من هذه المخاطر تحقيقا بذلك حماية للعامل والوصول الى معنى بيئة عمل آمنة، فكانت الحركة التشريعية الدولية أحد الآليات التي سعت جاهدة في سبيل تحقيق هذه المسألة وتأطيرها وتنظيمها عبر العديد من النصوص القانونية الفاعلة في هذا الخصوص.

The importance of this topic is evident through the definition of both occupational health and safety as a sensitive point with a strong impact, especially on the economic field, especially the industrial field, which witnessed rapid changes in terms of materials and equipment dependent on it in various economic activities, the latter in turn has become one of the sources threatening the health and safety of the worker This is in view of most of the occupational risks that may befall him or even the employing institution.
Accordingly, and as a result of this matter, it was necessary to search for a way to prevent these risks in order to achieve protection for the worker and reach the meaning of a safe work environment.
The international legislative movement was one of the mechanisms that strived to achieve this issue, frame it and organize it through many legal texts active in this matter.

L'importance de ce sujet est établie à travers la définition de la santé et de la sécurité au travail comme un point sensible à fort impact sur le domaine économique, et plus particulièrement le domaine industriel, qui a connu des changements rapides en termes de matériaux et d'équipements utilisés dans diverses activités économiques.
Cette situation est devenue à son tour l'une des sources de menace de la santé et de la sécurité du travailleur, compte tenu de la plupart des risques professionnels qui peuvent le toucher, et qui peuvent même toucher l'institution qui l'emploie.
En conséquence, il est nécessaire de rechercher un moyen de prévenir ces risques afin d'assurer la protection du travailleur et d'arriver un environnement de travail sûr.
Le mouvement législatif international a été l'un des mécanismes qui s'est efforcé de réaliser cet objectif, de l'encadrer et de l'organiser à travers de nombreux textes juridiques efficaces en la matière.
