This study aimed to provide scientific evidence that prove important create function of economic intelligence at the University of Algiers 3,This is the result of what this has achieved function in improving the performance of the enterprise, by paying attention to the analysis of macro-environment factors and competitive environment factors, Then converting the data into information that helps identify opportunities and threats, and identify strengths and weaknesses, In addition, it provides protection for strategic information, And using it in the policy of pressure and influence on the external environment to serve the interests of the institution, The importance of the economic inquiry function at the University of Algiers 3 was emphasized after analyzing the results of interviews with (10) ten officials at the university directorate level.

Where information is collected with personal diligence by officials who follow developments in the higher education sector, It was also entrusted with the task of providing information protection for everyone affiliated with the university, with the establishment of a special center that ensures awareness campaigns and raising security barriers.

On the other hand, the university finds it difficult to exercise pressure policy due to the legal nature that requires it to be subject to the instructions of the guardian ministry.

With the submission of suggestions that may help in the decision-making process, while having the ability to significantly influence public opinion, through the participation of many professors in many media, organizing conferences and publishing scientific research.
