The rules of international law sought the environment as a subject of international protection, which is why numerous international conventions and pacts were concluded to enshrine this protection in times of peace and war.

however, even if this protection has been distinguished from its formal appearance by the dynamics of legal texts, it's still remains deficient in terms of effectiveness as evidenced by the international violations which begin day after day, which has necessitated making numerous challenges to achieve compatibility between the legal text and the principle of effective protection within the frame work of the rules of international law.
