The importance source of this research reflects sensing situation in which the ancient Arab poet put himself between two contradictory critical currents.

the first and most severe to him is the moral criterion that is tainted by religious vision sometime, or strengthened by political authority sometimes.

the second is the technical criterion that appeals to an objective critical view according to known technical standards.

there is no doubt that attitudes vary between poets in their response or warning against the trend of moral criticism in particular, they seek to excel and show their ingenuity by producing unfamiliar images that may depend on exaggeration or deviation from moral and religious norms.

and no one denies the importance and presence of morals and in Arab and Islamic culture in particular, as well as its heavy presence in criticism of poetry among the ancient Arabs and its competition with the artistic standard.

the research was keen to present the opinions of critics from both sides and the impact of their critical efforts on the creativity of the ancient Arab poet and the impact of that on the criticism process.
