Folk literature in general, and folktales in particular, is a mirror that reflects people, simulates their hopes and recounts their joys and sorrows in a popular way that combines what the soul suffers and what is reflected on folk groups our paper aims to study ,psychologically ,the folk tale in Algeria ,taking as a model the folk tale "the bird of passion; Tham'aith the bird of passion in order determine the patience of the psychological traits and complexes that surround this story.

in the course of this, we’ll try to define the concepts of each of popular literature and folktale, in particular the fairy tale, and address the tale’s psychological complexes.

we can therefore ask the following question: what are the most important psychological complexes in the Algerian folk tale "the bird of passion"?
