The research discusses the position of President Richard Nixon's administration on issues of common interest with Brazil during the period 1970-1971, and during the government of Brazilian President General Emilio Garastazo Medici.

These positions were not out of the containment policy adopted by the United States of America during the Cold War.

These positions and policies were taken when it was noticed that the Brazilian President, General Emilio Medici, whose government's performance was compatible agreed with US President Nixon's Administration Directions.

Thus, it was very clear that it blessed his taking office and providing him with financial and economic assistance to support his economic program and recommended this support to all agencies of the US National Security Council.
