The meaning of Sunnah in Islamic thought does not differ from its linguistic and idiomatic meaning, but we find that there is a convergence and shared issues in the two concepts.

The Sunnah in the linguistic sense is the method, and in the idiomatic sense is the set of laws according to which all existence moves and by virtue of which life moves with its particles and vocabulary.

There is a law even for every atom in the Universe.

Also, Islamic thought counts the laws that God has made clear to humans as fixed laws that are not subject to change or alteration.
