Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the repercussions of smartphone addiction on Algerian adolescents, through a study on a sample of smartphone users.

the researcher used the descriptive approach and the questionnaire tool to collect data from the respondents, who were estimated to be 140 young adolescents in some neighborhoods of the city of Jijel.

the study reached a set of results, the most important of which are: the mean estimates of the sample for the health repercussions of smartphone addiction were (2.69) with a standard deviation of (0.568), meaning that they fall within the average estimate (ok).

as for the mean of the sample's estimates of the psychological repercussions of smartphone addiction, it is (2.51) with a standard deviation of (0.575), which falls within the average estimate (ok).

while the mean of the sample's estimates for the health repercussions of smartphone addiction was (2.23) with a standard deviation of (0.592), which falls within the average estimate (neutral).

according to these results, it is clear that the repercussions of smart phone addiction on the Algerian teenager are multiple, and its reflection is evident in a large way on the health and psychological side.
