Abstract EN

This research aims to explore the heritage - represented by the poetry of Jameel Buthaina-a modern critical exploration that would break the barriers of silence of texts and search for its creative aesthetics.

this can be done by investigating the employment of color in the poet's poetry and revealing its imaginative dimensions that constitute its deep semantic structure.

this exploration bases on the aesthetic linguistic approach as a procedural key that helps us to reveal the innermost of texts.

the exploration showed there is an importance of the color use in enriching the poetic text in form, content, evoking emotion and drawing the attention of the recipient.

the employment of color in Buthaina's poetry has two different patterns, namely : direct (explicit) color and indirect (suggestive) color.

in both patterns color plays an aesthetic linguistic function in the structure of the artistic image.

that it is to say, the poet's use of colors was not a coincidence or mere linguistic game, but rather has a close connection with his emotional experience.

in other words, each color has its own aesthetic character that is derived from the natural structure to which it belongs.
