There are many studies and researches that have been written on different topics about imam Ali, peace be upon him, whether related to his birth, faith, courage, knowledge, caliphate, politics, jurisprudence, and others...

but we chose to research his thought and approach in some social crimes in the modern sense as a term he used.

the Iraqi legislator in the penal code in force as a title for the crimes mentioned in chapter eight of the third book, and we preferred to discuss only two of the crimes mentioned in this chapter, which are the crimes of adultery and the crime of drinking alcohol, especially since the Iraqi legislator violated the provisions of Islamic sharia in the criminalization and punishment for these two crimes.

the original made them permissible, and the violation of the regulation of their provisions was not limited to the provisions of Islamic sharia, rather it even contradicted the provisions of the constitution of Iraq for the year 2005, which made Islamic sharia a basic source of legislation and prohibited the enactment of any law that contradicts the principles of Islamic sharia.
